  • The ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapp’s Emergency Management program focuses on preparing for, responding to, and recovering from major incidents that could impact students, staff, or school operations. From developing district-wide emergency plans to supporting schools during critical events, the program ensures a coordinated, well-practiced approach to safety. Through planning, training, and collaboration with local and state agencies, Emergency Management helps build resilience across the district—so that when the unexpected happens, we’re ready.

    "Woody" supervises the OEM Department, but specializes in incident management, school emergency plans, and the ASD Emergency Operations Center.

    Jared Woody has been with the ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapp since March 2024. He previously served for 9 years with the State of Alaska Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, following work as an EMT and 911 dispatcher. He has worked on multiple state and federal disasters, serving as a Type-3 Plans Chief for the 2018 Cook Inlet Earthquake, COVID-19 pandemic, and 2017 wildfire season, amongst others. Mr. Woody is a graduate of Service High School in Anchorage, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Emergency & Disaster Management, along with numerous national certifications including Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP), Continuity Practitioner, and National Planners’ Course graduate.

    Terrell's responsibilities include school security inspections, emergency conex boxes, and school emergency plans.

    Lindsay is responsible for running all the day-to-day business functions of OEM, including budgets, purchasing, and grants.
