The Freshman Academy is set to debut with the class of 2028, offering an enriching and comprehensive experience for all freshman students during the 2024/2025 school year. This program is designed not only to ease the transition from middle school to high school but also to provide students with essential career and college readiness experiences.
Freshman Orientation & Mentorship
The journey begins with a freshmen-only orientation program on the first day of school. This initiative, led by ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp Government officers and Mentorship students, aims to immerse incoming freshmen in East High traditions and high school life. During this orientation, students will:

Freshman Academy Career Exploration
The Freshman Career Exploration & Financial Literacy course is a one-semester class designed to help students:

College Campus Visits
All freshmen will have the opportunity to visit a local college campus. This visit is intended to:

Career Expo
In October, all freshmen will attend a local career expo. This event will feature professionals from over 75 different organizations, offering students the chance to:

This exposure will help students make informed decisions about their future pathways.
Electives Selection
In the Spring, freshmen will work with their counseling team and teachers to make elective course choices. This decision is guided by the insights and experiences gained through their participation in the Freshman Academy, ensuring that each student is well-prepared to embark on their high school journey with confidence and clarity.
