Which devices are compatible with the app?
The Blackboard app is compatible with the following operating systems: iOS 9.0+, Android 4.2+ and Windows 10+.
The Blackboard app for Android and iOS was designed and built for phones, iPads running iOS 9.0+, and Android tablets running 4.2+.
The Blackboard app for Windows is compatible with tablets and phones and looks a bit different than the iOS and Android versions.

How do I log in to the app?
Parents/guardians
- Tap to select the “ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp Info” icon
- Enter your Login ID (your login ID is the email address associated with your Q ParentConnection account)
- Enter your password (check the email address associated with your Q ParentConnection account for an email containing a temporary app password, sent at the beginning of the school year. If you cannot find this email, or have changed your email address in Q ParentConnection, follow the steps below to retrieve a new app password.)

Will my app log me out automatically?
As long as you open your Blackboard app once every 60 days, the app will not log you out.

Can I log into more than one device at a time?
Yes, you can be logged into more than one device at the same time.

What if my Login ID and temporary password doesn't work?
Confirm that the email address registered in Q ParentConnection is the same one that you are using as your Login ID. If the issue still occurs, contact your child's school and front office staff can confirm that web access is activated under Q ParentConnection, or activate this feature.
All changes made in Q may take up to 24 hours to impact the mobile app.

How do I reset my password?
Parents/guardians can reset their passwords by typing in their user name and clicking "Forgot Password?"
ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps use the same password for the app that they use for Q ÅÝܽÊÓƵappConnection. If you are a student and have forgotten your password, contact your school's front office staff and they will assist you.

Can I change my Login ID?
Parents/Guardians can change their Login ID by updating their email registered in Q Parent Connection. All changes made in Q may take up to 24 hours to impact the mobile app.
ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps cannot change their login PIN.

What if my personal information listed on the mobile app is incorrect?
You will need to update your information in Q Parent Connection since the app is directly tied to Q Parent Connection. All changes made in Q may take up to 24 hours to impact the mobile app.

Who do I contact if my child's information is incorrect or missing?
Verify child’s information on Q Parent Connection. If parents/guardians are unable to resolve the issue, contact the school’s front office.

Are my children's profiles linked automatically in the app?
Yes, student accounts should show up automatically once the parent is logged into the app. If a child’s profile is not linked automatically, contact the school’s front office.

Will parents/guardians be assigned a new password if their Login ID is changed?
No, parents/guardians will need to retrieve a temporary password by typing in their new Login ID and clicking “Forgot Password.”

How do I add a new school to my activity stream once I've downloaded the app?
1. Click on “Activity Stream”
2. Select “Settings”
3. Select the school(s) to be added to the activity stream
4. Check on the items you would like to follow for each school

Does the app offer other languages other than English?
Yes, the mobile app is available in over 60 languages. The language of the app comes from your device's operating system, not your Blackboard Learn language preference. Language settings affect the app interface, but not course content.

How do I customize my calendar feed?

How do I personalize my calendar when I am following multiple schools?

3. Select “Colors” and personalize your selections. Users can assign colors to the different school calendars

What information related to my children can I see through the app?
Parents/guardians can view their children’s grades, assignments, class schedule, attendance record, and cafeteria balance.

Does the mobile app reflect real time information?
The app does not reflect real time information. The app is updated nightly and any changes made in Q may take up to 24 hours to impact the mobile app. Data provided on Q will be the most accurate information.

Where can I view my child's, assignments, and attendance?
1. Click on the student profile
2. Click on “Classes”
3. Click on each of the classes to view class assignments and attendance

How do I view and update my child's cafeteria balance?
Once you click on the student profile, the cafeteria balance is shown on the first page. If you click on “Cafeteria Balance” the app will take you to Q Parent Connection where you can add funds to the balance.

Will my child's school photo be automatically updated in the mobile app?
ASD will automatically upload your child’s student photo once a year in the fall. New students enrolling into a school after the initial enrollment period will not have a photo uploaded until the next school year.

How do I change my child's icon photo?
1. Click on student’s profile
2. Select photo icon
3. Select from options to view, take, choose, or remove an existing photo

What type student alerts can I get through the app?
- Attendance
- Assignments
- Class grade drops below a certain threshold
- Assignment grade/overall grade drops below a certain threshold
- Grade has been updated by the teacher
- Teacher has posted a new assignment
- Cafeteria lunch balance drops below a certain threshold

Why do I not see standards or behavior grades?
This applies to Denali Montessori and Eagle Academy and kindergarten students using standards.
Standards and behavior grades are not displayed within mobile app at this time.

Why do I see percentages on some grades but not others?
Past terms will display final grades for that term without percentages.
Current terms will display currently earned grades with percentages.

How do I set up student alerts on my app?
1. Click on "Notifications"
2. You will see "Academic Alerts" that are push notifications that pop-up on your mobile device.
3. Select "Setting"
4. Manage alerts by turning “On” or “Off”
