Screenings

  • During the course of the school year, the school nurse will be checking height, weight, vision, and hearing. The extent of the routine screening depends on the grade. However, any time a teacher or parent has a concern they can reach out to the school nurse.

     

    * Sec. 3.  (a) is amended to read: 

    (a)  A vision, weight, height, and hearing screening examination shall be given to each child attending school in the state.  The examination shall be made when the child enters school or as soon thereafter as is practicable, and at regular intervals specified by regulation by the governing body of the district.
